Patty Evers, MA, LPC - Supervisor
My specialties include Adjustment, Parenting and Family Issues, Grief and Loss and Trauma. The two counseling theories that I adhere closest to are Solution-Focused and Existentialism. These theories are very different and the usage of them depends on how deeply the client is ready to go in our time together.
I view my role as a therapist is as one who compassionately listens and reframes stories in a way that assists the client in seeing their potential and making better decisions. I believe that it is the best way to draw on a person's inner qualities and bring them to the forefront.

I believe that the most important part of therapy is creating a safe and caring relationship between the therapist and the client. It is within this relationship that all the growth and healing occurs and without it little can be achieved.
I am a Christian Counselor whose passion and desire is to provide individuals and families a safe place to work through the obstacles and challenges that life sometimes brings. By offering compassionate, thoughtful and supportive efforts through the counseling process it is my hope to guide and help you achieve spiritual, mental and emotional well-being. I work with people of all ages, but consider my specialty to be working with parents (single, married, grandparents) and their children. I also work with and provide individual counseling for kids as young as 10, teens and adults.
When working with families I primarily work from a Bowen Family Systems approach and utilize the Solution Focus approach when working with individuals. I cover a wide range of issues that include: behavior, parenting, grief, crisis, anxiety, anger, coping skills, spirituality, and life transitions.
